Tyler State Park is made up of 985 acres of woods surrounding a small lake. Twenty-five additional parks are located in Tyler, all with picnic areas. Four local parks have ideal hiking and bike trails.

There are over 17 courses, both public and private, within a one hour drive of downtown.
